Adidas with Discount

Image
If you are in Lisbon or planning to visit the city mark on your tour to go to Colombo Shopping Mall, where the new Adidas store opened yesterday. Stan Smith of course was the most bought modeled but the modeled designed by Pharrel Williams for the brand, Superstar was also flying of the shelves. The Pharrel Williams collection has 50 colors to choose from but at the store you could only find very few. The best part is that everything, I mean EVERY product has a 25% discount until May 12. With this discount, I think I'll finally buy my Stan Smith after all. It's an opportunity you can't miss so don't forget, visit the Adidas store in Colombo shopping mall. Metro is an excellent choice to get there, Blue Line, Colégio Militar/Luz station. xoxo, A

Shopping in Lisbon: Avenida da Liberdade

Image
No, I haven't forgotten about the Shopping in Lisbon issue, I just been really busy and the next spot I want to talk about is my favorite so I want to show you everything in perfection. This first post about the avenue will be an introduction, a general view to get you all excited. It's the most important avenue in Lisbon, with ten lanes divided by pedestrian pavements decorated with gardens, connecting Restauradores with Marquês de Pombal. The avenue was built in the XIX, modelled after the boulevards of Paris and became a preferred address for the upper class. Many of the original buildings can still be found, reflecting the Portuguese architecture from the late 19th century. The sidewalks are paved with the traditional Portuguese pavement and the roundabouts are decorated with monuments and statues that pay homage to important personalities. My favorite is the Monument to the Heroes of the Great War, a tribute to the 50,000 Portuguese soldiers that fought in World War...

There's a New Hotel in Town

Image
Years and years of studying in Lisbon, a place near Atrium do Saldanha, right Praça Duque de Saldanha, one of the most busiest area in the city, was under construction and yesterday I saw the result of all those years. It's a new hotel, to be more precise it's the Evolution Lisboa Hotel from SANA Hotels Group. I was amazed by it's architecture, the big hand supporting the building, the big windows to let the sun in and that invites you to spend the day there watching people go by. It's a 4 star hotel, with 10 floors and 144 bedrooms, it has public areas, reading, work, restaurants, fitness area, conference rooms and at night you can count on DJ's. As I was walking by the hotel I imagined living in it or just spending the day studying near those giant windows. It should be the new IT hotel in Lisbon, located in a great area with excellent access to subway or bus stations, besides you can do some shopping in this area. xoxo, A

Kitchen Makeup Boutique

Image
I am not an expert on makeup but I love to watch the videos, like Pixiwoo or Devil Wears Louboutin , both have amazing ideas and easy to learn tricks for a day to day makeup. Of course I am a fan of the Sam and Nic and I was dying to try the Real Technique brushes. Here in Portugal is hard to find the brushes, and it's not very cheap to buy online, that's my opinion. A few weeks ago I found on Facebook a girl that sells the brushes and bought the Expert face brush for liquid foundation and it's as perfect as you see on the videos. I was hooked to the Real Techniques and I had to buy more. Today has I met my best friend and co-founder of the blog for a day of dolce fare niente, I found this really cool place where I bought my new Real Technique brushes. We met on El Corte Inglés, the biggest department store, to go to the university and walk around Lisbon, when in the middle of our trip I found Kitchen Make Up Boutique and bought the Starter Set .  In oth...

You can count with Calzedonia, Intimissimi, Hilfiger Denim, Kiko, Parfois, O Boticário, Pepe Jeans London, Rituals, Sephora, Springfield, The Body Shop and the best friend that everyone knows around the world Starbucks coffeeshop. If you are looking for music and entertainment stores, FNAC is the perfect place, sells CDs, DVDs, books, magazines and computers, plus loads of accessories.

Now you can find traditional shops, there's no better experience to find this unique shops, places that preserve the elements of Pombaline architecture. Let Me Introduce You Lisbon

Image
First of all, Lisbon is a historical city, so shopping in this city can be quite a cultural experience and adventure. From Baixa (Downtown) to the most recent points in Lisbon, Vasco da Gama and Colombo, it looks as if you went through a time tunnel. Now let me present you the key points. In Baixa many shops look as if time as stopped, since they are in old buildings keeping the facade and modernizing the inside for the XXI century shops. Seems as if you are in a museum, living and touching it. Besides this XXI century shops, you can still find traditional shops that are still open thanks to the tourists. In Bairro Alto, known for it's nightlife, you can find vintage shops and that's where some of the national designers have their own boutiques. My favorite place not only to wander but to shop too is Avenida da Liberdade, here are located the most luxurious brands, from Furla to Louis Vuitton, pick one and you find it. And finally you have the shopping malls Vasco da Gama...
